PRICING AND ORDERING

 

For acoustic and classical guitars, my base price includes:

  • European, Sitka or Englemann Spruce top.

  • Indian Rosewood or Wenge back and sides. Other included woods may be available; please inquire.

  • Mahogany or Spanish Cedar neck. Other included woods may be available. Please inquire.

  • Indian Rosewood or Ebony Fingerboard.

  • Indian Rosewood or Ebony bridge.

  • Scale length of 25.4” (645 mm) or 25” (635 mm).

  • Nut width: 1.75”; String spacing at the saddle: 2.25”.

  • Choice of 12 or 14-frets to the body.

  • Carved and colored rosette or simple wood rosette (solid wood or lines). The Somogyi style rosette is available for an extra charge; see below.

  • Headstock veneer; matching the back and sides if possible and suitable.

  • All wood binding.

  • Top and back purfling if appropriate.

  • Side purfling, if appropriate.

  • Gotoh 510 tuners or similar.

  • French polish, lacquer or catalyzed polyurethane finish.

  • Special finishes are available and will be used as appropriate. They include shop cooked oil varnish (violin varnish), encaustic, hard wax oil.

  • High end case (Hoffee, Accord, etc. — Calton is available for an extra charge)

  • Full warranty within the limitations described below.

Electric guitars and basses have many customization options. Most common configurations are included in the base price. Please reach out with your project to get an accurate quote.

ORDERING

To place an order, a non-refundable deposit of one third of the total price is required. It covers materials cost and design time and it will place you on my build-list. Half of the remaining balance is due just before I begin work on your guitar. The rest is due upon completion of the guitar and before shipping.

Shipping and taxes are not included in the base price.

WARRANTY

A limited 7 year warranty is issued with every guitar I make. It is tied to the original owner and is valid only while I am in business as a guitar maker. It covers faulty materials and craftsmanship. It does not cover normal wear and tear, mishandling, alterations and storage in unsuitable conditions.
